Angchok appointed PSC member

Srinagar: Governor NN Vohra has accorded approval to the State Government’s recommendation to appoint Tsering Angchok, former Indian administrative service officer as member of the J&K Public Service Commission. Angchok, who has worked in the State government in varied capacities in the field departments and in the secretariat, was inducted into the IAS in 2013, with 2002 seniority, and retired as State Excise Commissioner in February 2017.
The J&K PSC has a sanctioned strength of Chairman plus eight members and a vacancy had arisen after Tashi Dorjee superannuated in May 2016. Like Dorjee, Angchul also belongs to Leh district of Ladakh region.
