Clashes near Pulwama encounter site, civilian hit with bullet

Srinagar: A civilian was hit with bullet after government forces opened fire to disperse the stone pelting protesters near the encounter site at Behmnoo village of Pulwama district on Monday.
The injured Jahangir Ahmad Wagay son of Abdul Hamid, a resident of Abhama was hit with a bullet in his abdomen, sources said, adding he was immediately referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment.
Earlier clashes erupted near the encounter site as the stone pelting protesters tried to sabotage the anti-militant operation, sources said.
Two militants have so far been killed in the ongoing operation while as one militant is believed to be still holed up.
