Kashmiris, Sikhs protest near White House on Modi’s arrival

Srinagar: Kashmiri and Sikh protestors waved flags and chanted slogans against India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he arrived at the White House for a meeting with President Donald Trump, media reports said on Tuesday.

As per reports Modi arrived on the south side of the White House, the protestors were on the north side so it was not clear if he ever saw them.

Reports said that hundreds of Kashmiri-Americans chanted slogans in favour of “Azadi, justice and freedom” in front of the White House during Modi’s meeting with Trump.

Trump and Modi were friendly towards each other after their meeting when they delivered statements from the Rose Garden
