Clashes at Awantipora close Kashmir highway

Srinagar-Jammu highway was closed at Awantipora on Thursday after massive protests erupted following the killing of three militants in a gunfight.
One of the three slain militants, Sheeraz Ahmad Bhat, was a resident of Padgampora village of Awantipora.
Reports said that thousands of people, including women and children, have assembled in the village to take part in last rites of the slain militant.
Reports of intense clashes have also reached from Kakpora. Two slain militants, Shariq and Majid, were from Kakapora.
