Srinagar man injured in Ganderbal road mishap, driver missing

Ganderbal: Driver went missing while as one received serious injuries when the Innova car they were travelling in, skidded off the road and plunged into Nallah Sindh near Aasan Mount Resort Gaganigar area in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district Monday.
The Inova vehicle bearing registration number JKO1T-9484, was on its way to Srinagar from Leh, when the driver lost its control and it plunged into Nallah Sindh near Sonamarg, sources said.
Officials said that after getting information a police team rushed to the spot and with the help of locals, rescued the injured person.
The injured was shifted to PHC Kullan from where he was later referred to SKIMS Soura in serious conditions.
The injured person was identified as Krishan Kant Bala son of Manghat Ram Bala resident of Ramvishwar Temple Jawhar Nagar Srinagar.
Officials said the accident took place during wee hours and the search operation continues for the missing driver, Fayaz Ahmad, a resident of Qamarwari Srinagar, who is feared to have been drowned in the Nallah.
