Janata Dal worker shot dead in his house

Pulwama: A Janata Dal United (JDU) worker was shot dead by unidentified gunmen on Saturday evening at Arrubagh, Pingalana, in south Kashmir.
The JDU worker identified as Ajaz Ahmad Malik, 24), son of Ali Mohammad, was shot inside his house by the gunmen, police said.
The police said Malik was shot in the right side of the abdomen, following which he was immediately shifted to District Hospital Pulwama, where the doctors referred him to Srinagar in critical condition. Later he was declared brought dead by doctors at a Srinagar hospital.
The police said Malik was hit by only one bullet. A second bullet fired by the gunmen pierced the wall of his house.
Meanwhile, a senior police officer told Kashmir Reader that Malik succumbed to his injuries late Saturday night. Malik was a mason by profession.
JDU Kashmir president GM Shah strongly condemned the killing of Malik. He termed his killing as a setback to the party.
