Civilian injured in force’s firing in Pulwama village

Srinagar: A civilian was injured after government forces allegedly opened fire in Drubgam village of Pulwama district in south Kashmir Monday evening.
Sources said that a forces party was passing through the village when it came under mild stone pelting.
However local sources said that forces party opened fire without any provocation injuring one Altaf Ahmad.
Altaf, they said was immediately referred to Srinagar hospital for advanced treatment.
However police later issued a statement saying they have been “reported by Security forces that terrorists fired upon their patrolling party near Firdousabad Drabgam in Pulwama which was retaliated.”
In this incident, the police statement said “one civilian Altaf Ahmad Zargar was injured.”
He has been referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment, police said and added “his condition is stated to be stable so far”.
