Arwani gunfight; bodies of Junaid, two other militants recovered

Srinagar: Bodies of three militants, including Lashkar commander Junaid Mattu, killed in an encounter on Friday were recovered from Arwani in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Saturday, police said.
Some weapons including AK 47 guns, and six magazines were also recovered from the spot.
Mattu, Nasir Ahmed Wani and a Adil Mushtaq Mir were killed in a joint operation involving the Indian Army, Special Operations Group (SOG) and the CRPF.
During the encounter, locals started protesting against forces who opened fire resulting in the killing of 2 civilians.
