According to police reports, the house of Justice Muzaffar Attar, a retired judge of the Srinagar High Court, was targeted by militants in Anchidora area of main town Anantnag.

The militants, as per police, took away four SLR rifles from the policemen posted at the spot and fled.
Soon after the attack, a team of police and paramilitary CRPF reached the spot and searches were conducted to nab the attackers.
