Soldiers stoned in Shopian thrash youth, damage property

Shopian: Army on Saturday damaged residential houses and thrashed a youth of Narpora village in Shopian when their patrolling party was stoned in the village.
A few youth pelted the soldiers with stones when they were passing through the village. Troopers barged into residential houses and picked up a youth Ubaid Nazir son of Nazir Ahmad Rather from the village, locals said. The youth was beaten up and released later. Villagers alleged soldiers damaged windowpanes of four residential houses as well.
