NIA questions ‘6 to 8 persons’ in Srinagar

Srinagar: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Monday said it had started the scrutiny of documents and other material it seized in raids and has also questioned “six to eight persons” in Srinagar.
NIA spokesperson Alok Mittal told Kashmir Reader that NIA teams have started scrutiny of material seized during raids in the past two days.
“In this connection our team had also called six to eight persons to Srinagar for questioning over the documents seized from their possession,” Mittal said.
He said the persons questioned on Monday belong to different Hurriyat groups and “hawala financing operators”. “There is not much progress, though, and no raids were conducted by teams of NIA today,” he said.
Mittal said that the crutiny of documents would continue for the next few days.
“We will continue to call people to Srinagar for questioning,” Mittal said.
