‘Bovine smuggler’ dies mysteriously in Nowshera

Srinagar:  A driver carrying bovine in his vehicle was mysteriously found drowned in Nowshera nullah. Police said that body of one Shaheen Nawaz son of Manawar Hussain Mirza, resident of Bathiyian Thanamandi was fished out from rivulet. During enquiry it was found that the deceased was a driver-who had fled from a police naka while transporting bovine in his vehicle No. JK18-2037 (Tata mobile) during intervening night of June 1 and 2.. A case FIR No 76/2017 U/s 188 RPC, 3 PCA Act stands registered in the instant bovine smuggling incident. Police said two other co-accused persons namely Tahir Mahmood son of Mohammad Taj of Bathiyian Thanamandi and Mohammdd Sadiq son of Mohammad Khan, Bathiyian Thanamandi accompanying the deceased were arrested by from the same vehicle and are in police custody. However, an inquest has been initiated into death of said person. The post mortem of the deceased was conducted by a board of doctors at SDH Nowshera in presence of magistrate and his relatives. Prima facie, the doctors are of the opinion that the deceased has died of drowning. The dead body has been handed over to the relatives of the deceased for last rites.
