Sumbal: Police claimed to have busted Lashkar-e-Toiba module by arresting five persons from Bandipora’s Hajin on Thursday.
Senior superintendent of police Bandipora Sheikh Zulfikar said that the five people were behind motivating youth to “pick up arms and create law and order problem”.
He said that the preliminary investigations revealed that they were working for a Lashkar militant in Hajin.
They were identified as Bashir Ahmad Mir, Hilal Ahmad Parray of Hajin and Shabir Ahmad, Mohammad Younis of Chandergira and Sounallah Dar of Gundjageer .
Police also claimed to have recovered two AK-47 magazine, 27 rounds, 10 grenades, from them .
Zulfikar said a case (FIR number 34/2017) under section 7/25 arms act, was registered against the accused in Hajin Police station.
