Srinagar: Following the killing of Hizbul Mujahideen commander Sabzar Bhat and his associate Faizan Muzaffar, curfew-like restrictions continued in certain parts of Kashmir for the third day to “maintain law and order” in the valley.
The restrictions were in place in the southern districts of Anantnag, Pulwama, Kulgam and Shopian, officials said.
In Srinagar, restrictions continued in seven police station areas of Khanyar, Nowhatta, Safakadal, M R Gunj, Rainawari, Kralkhud and Maisuma.
Restrictions on the assembly of people under Section 144 Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) also continued in the districts of Budgam and Ganderbal in central Kashmir, officials added.
Considering the call for a march to Tral area in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, the restrictions were extended, official’s said.
Mobile Internet services, outgoing call facility for prepaid numbers were also suspended in the valley.
