LeT condemns extension of Aasiya’s detention

SRINAGAR: Militant outfit Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) on Tuesday condemned the extension of Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) chief, Aasiya Andrabi’s detention.
In an e-mailed statement issued to a local news agency KNS, a spokesman of LeT, Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi quoted the outfit chief Mehmood Shah as saying, “Extension of Aasiya Andrabi’s detention is a condemnable act. In presence of Mehbooba Mufti, brutalities committed on the Kashmiri women are shameful.”
“Islam has given a very high status to the women but Mehbooba Mufti is far away from basic sense and morality,” he said, adding that “Students are living miserable lives in the valley. Forces are violating the rights of Kashmiris. School students are looking for their future on the roads of Kashmir protesting against Mehbooba and the Indian occupied forces. India has left no other option for the oppressed Kashmiris.”
“Freedom is the destination which is getting closer and closer. India is trying its best to maintain its unjustified occupation in Jammu and Kashmir but it is not going to happen. It’s our turn now,” LeT chief added
