Shopian shuts to mourn driver’s killing

SHOPIAN: A shutdown was observed in Shopian to mourn the killing of civilian driver, who was ferrying soldiers in his cab yesterday when militants attacked them during military crackdown in the district.
All the business establishments were closed while public transport was off the roads.
In the morning, youth threw government forces with stones in Bongam, Bonbazar and Batpora villages.
A resident in Batpora told Kashmir Reader that the forces arrested two youth during the stone throwing in the village.
