SRINAGAR: Militant outfit Hizb-ul-Mujahideen on Friday condemned the day-long crackdown by army and government forces in several villages of Shopian.
In a statement issued to local news agency KNS, Hizb spokesperson Saleem Hashmi quoted the outfit chief Syed Salah-ud-din as sayin, “Crackdown, thrashing of people and ransacking the belongings in Shopian villages is indicating that India has given up before Kashmiris. Such tactics are being used to strengthen their occupation,”
“We express grief over the martyrdom of a driver Nazir Ahmad. Indian forces are using civilians as shields which is highly condemnable.”
Hashmi added, “India has failed to sabotage the ongoing freedom struggle despite using every tactic to muzzle the voice of Kashmiris.”
The HM chief said the world community and rights bodies should take notice over such happenings.
