Hajin, adjoining areas demand office complex

Hajin: Residents of Hajin town and its adjoining areas in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district are demanding a centralized office complex at Hajin town for smooth conduct of official businesses in the area.
The locals said that it was their legitimate demand and they have appealed to the authorities to establish the office.
The land spread over tens of kanals has been already earmarked by MLA Sonawari, Mohammad Akbar Lone a several years ago. At present most of the government offices are running from rented private buildings, said a local resident.
The locals say that the establishment of a centralized office complex would be a great respite for densely populated and centrally located town like Hajin, which is surrounded by many villages.
“Our area is already suffering from dilapidated roads, worn-out electricity transmission and distribution lines, and pathetic educational setup,” said Aijaz Ahmad a local resident.
