Army officer, BSF soldier killed in cross border firing in Poonch

Srinagar: Two soldiers were killed on Monday after Indian and Pakistani troops exchanged heavy firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Defence sources said that Pakistani troops fired rockets killing army officer and a BSF soldier.
The cross firing began at 8:30 am as Pakistan used rocket launchers and automatic weapons on Indian posts, defence sources said.
They said an Indian army officer along with a BSF head constable has been killed.
Pertinently, after every cross border firing incident along the LoC or International border, both India and Pakistan accuse each other of violating the ceasefire which is in place since 2003.
