PSA slapped on TeH’s Hajin activist for second time

Hajin: The district magistrate Bandipora on Thursday issued orders to book Tehreek-e- Hurriyat activist Abdul Hamid Parray under Public Safety Act for his alleged involvement in organizing anti-India protests.
Parray who is Tehsil president of the party has been booked under PSA. His family said that Parray was detained under the draconian law for the second time and sent to Kot Balwal jail in Jammu.
Talking to Kashmir Reader Parray’s son Hilal Ahmad said that his father was arrested on February 4 for staging anti-India protests. After spending four months in police station Hajin, he was slapped with PSA in July last year and was shifted to Kot Bilwal Jammu. The court subsequently quashed his PSA detention on March 14. However, on March 17 he was brought back to police station Hajin. When the family approached the police for his release, they avoided them saying he would be released soon until a fresh PSA was slapped on him
“Today when I visited to police station to serve tea to my father, I saw he was being shifted to somewhere. When I inquired, I was told that he has been slapped with another PSA and is being shifted to Kot Balwal jail,” he said.
Police sources while confirming the PSA against Parray said he has been slapped with PSA under order no. DMB/PSA/2017/01 dated 27th of April 2017 and he was shifted to Kot Bilwal Jammu.
