State handed over to Hindu fanatics: Rasheed

‘Police, army called me a Pakistani agent, stopped from entering Pir Panchal’
Srinagar: MLA Langate Sheikh Abdul Rasheed said on Tuesday that he was abused and called a Pakistani agent by police and army while being stopped from moving towards Pir Panchal.
Talking to reporters about the “highhandedness” of police and army Rasheed said that Kashmiri people “are being killed systematically under the directions of RSS”.
“We were travelling to Pir Panjal, on my four day tour, through Mughal Road but we were stopped by the joint party of Police and Army while entering the Pir Panjal area and heckled and abused me and then forced me to leave,” Rasheed said.
He alleged that after being stopped for hours in an avalanche prone area, he was “abused” and called a Pakistani agent and militant sympathizer by a DSP and an army major.
Describing PDP-BJP government as the “face of RSS”, Rasheed said that the entire state has been handed over to “Hindu fanatics” who he said are holding high level positions in police and civil administration.
“The top two posts in state administration have been given to the people from Hindu community. It is a well crafted plan under which New Delhi has planted chief secretary and police chief from Hindu community who have been given the job to bulldoze the rights of Muslims in the state and also to ensure that Muslims are disempowered in both police and civil administration and in the other parts of bureaucracy,” Rasheed said.
“How it is possible that in a state with 72% Muslim population both the persons heading civil and police administration are from Hindu community, we are not given rights because of being Muslims even we are not allowed to travel. Last night I was called a Pakistani agent and militant sympathiser and was sent back to Srinagar even after waiting for hours in an avalanche prone area,” Rasheed.
