SRINAGAR: Chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik has ‘strongly” condemned the slapping of “yet another PSA” on a Maisuma youth Ashiq Hussein who is languishing in Kot Bhalwal jail from past many years.
Malik in a statement issued here said 5th PSA was slapped on Hussain on Saturday. “Police had in February slapped PSA on him which was recently quashed by High Court. Then he was booked under some new cases and after court granted him bail in all cases, authorities today booked him under a fresh PSA to prolong his incarceration,” he said.
He said another youth of the same area Faisal Aslam Khan is also languishing in jail from long time and despite court orders is not released from police custody.
“The use of black law PSA is used to prolong the incarceration of these young boys. This is undemocratic, inhuman, and state-sponsored terrorism,” Malik said, adding, thousands of youth are in jails and “so-called rulers” are prolonging their incarceration.
Malik said authorities “should know that according to the law of retribution, they will have to answer for their crimes against humanity”.
Meanwhile, JKLF has strongly condemned the “attack by Indian army” on many villages of Bijbehara area of south Kashmir in which dozens of people have sustained grave injuries.
“This army attack is a state-sponsored terrorism,” JKLF said and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured.
