Srinagar: The banned Kashmir University Student’s Union (KUSU) urged students in Kashmir to resume their class work. “The protests in solidarity with the students assaulted by government forces at Pulwama degree college was not only exemplary but a historic message put across that the struggle of right to self-determination is deep-rooted in the conscience of every man, woman and youth of Jammu and Kashmir,” KUSU said in a statement.
The KUSU also clarified that they were not collecting funds for the students who were injured during the recent protests. “The students are cautioned to be wary against any attempts of fund-raising in the name of students injured since Monday,” the KUSU statement said.
The students’ body said that students should make “resistance against Indian occupation” a way of life.
