Jammu: Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga Friday “regretted” his recent remarks saying it is quite unfortunate that his statement was being “misinterpreted and misrepresented”.
“I deeply regret my remarks”, he said in a televised statement while making a fervent appeal to all for “maintaining peace and harmony in the state”, a statement said on Friday.
Ganga had called protesters of Kashmir as “traitors” and suggested “only bullets” for them.
“There is only one remedy for them (Protesters) and that is bullets. And if not bullets, they should be given punishments like the youths who are beaten with sticks by forces. Take my word that next time they (the youth) won’t throw stones,” Ganga had said.
