Dental college students missing, fellows approach police

Srinagar: Hostellers of government dental college Srinagar on Wednesday night marched to police station Batamaloo to register missing report of their four fellow student.
According to the students, the four students are missing from today evening after the hostel administration locked their room and evicted them. “We want to register case with the police as cellphones of our colleagues are switched off after the incident. We don’t know about their whereabouts,” said the students outside Batamaloo police station at around 10:30 pm. They said the police officials told them they should register case with police post Qamarwari as the hostel does not fall in their jurisdiction. “One of the student among the four entered another student’s room after his room was sealed by chief warden. But he was forcibly evicted,” they added.
The students accused chief warden and housekeeping manager of harassment saying, “they already approached principal dental college two days ago to intervene” in the issue.
