Congress forms panel on Kashmir

Srinagar: Indian National Congress (INC) on Wednesday constituted a policy-planning group for Jammu and Kashmir which will be headed by former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh,
According to the party statement, the group was constituted by congress president, Sonia Gandhi, adding, nine leaders of the congress including Dr Manmohan Singh will be aiming to hold dialogue with all stakeholders and help for peace building in the state.
Informing that the policy group was formed following the continuation of fragile political and security situation in the Valley, the party statement said  the nine members of the group include Manmohan Singh, Rajya Sabha member Dr Karan Singh, former finance minister and senior Congress leader, P Chidambaram, leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha, Ghulam Nabi Azad, General Secretary of congress, Ambika Soni, state congress Chief, Ghulam Ahmad Mir, Senior Congress leader, Nawang Rigzin Jora, Senior Congress leader and former MP, Tariq Hameed Karra, and senior Congress leader, Shyam Lal Sharma.
