Vehicle hired by a pro-India party during elections set ablaze in Tral

PULWAMA: Unidentified persons set ablaze a light commercial vehicle at Khangund village in south Kashmir’s Tral sub-district on Sunday.
Sources said a Tata Sumo vehicle bearing registration number JKO1H -8066 was set ablaze by unknown persons. The owner of the sumo said that he had parked the vehicle outside his house at Khanagund village and it was set ablaze by unknown persons during the night.
The vehicle was reportedly hired by a pro-India political party for campaigning during Srinagar parliamentary constituency  bypoll. In another incident, a panchayat building was set ablaze in Banderpora village of Kakpora in Pulwama by unknown persons during the intervening night of Sunday. A Police official said that they have registered a case in both the incidents of arson.
