Severe clashes erupt in Pulwama

Srinagar: Clashes between government forces and protesters (mostly students) erupted on Monday in south Kashmir’s Pulwama town.
Local sources said that protesters raising slogans against force’s action on college students few days back were interrupted by forces. The protesters pelted stones on forces triggering severe clashes in and around Murran Chowk.
Police fired tear smoke shells to disperse the protesters who pelted rocks resulting in intense clashes. The clashes were going on when reports last came in.
Pertinently, around 60 college students were injured in force’s action in Pulwama Saturday last.
