Police file murder charges in Batamaloo killing

Srinagar: Police on Sunday filed murder charges and started investigation in the case of killing of 15-year-old Sajad Hussain Sheikh who was shot dead by BSF trooos in Batamaloo on Saturday evening. The case has been registered at police station Batamaloo where the BSF has also filed its incident report.
Senior Superintendent of Police Srinagar, Imtiyaz Ismail Parray, confirmed that a case had been registered by police.
According to sources, Sub Inspector Rajinder Baghde of 38 BN BSF, who was heading the small convoy consisting of three vehicles, submitted the incident report. The report mentioned that the troops were on way to Humhama BSF Headquarters after returning from Army’s veterinary unit when the incident took place.
