Beerwah: A strong protest was held by the students of Government Degree College Beerwah, on Monday against the use of force on their colleagues in Pulwama.
A large number of students including girls boycotted their classes and assembled in the college premises and took out a protest march up to ZEO’s office, holding placards depicting “we support Pulwama students” and “we want justice”. They also raised pro-freedom slogans.
Protesting students stressed upon the world Human Rights Organisations like Amnesty International to take notice of the happenings in Kashmir.
Protesting students told Kashmir Reader that they held a protest march to show solidarity and support for the students of the valley especially students of Pulwama, where at least 5 dozen students including girl students were injured in force’s action.
Officials said that the protest was peaceful and later the students dispersed.
