Kashmir Re-poll: Percentage creeps to 1.36 till 12

Srinagar: Polling was going on very slowly in 38 booths which are going for re-polls on Thursday in Srinagar Lok Sabha seat as people were not coming out to cast their vote, sources said.
As per official sources 73 votes have been polled in last one hour in the 38 centres situated in Budgam district.
They added that overall poll percentage has reached to 1.36 till 12 pm.
Police officials said that till 12 noon, 479 votes were cast at 38 polling stations out 35169 votes.
The voting began at 7 a.m. and will end at 4 p.m.
Heavy deployment of forces has been made in the central Kashmir district to ensure “violence free” polling after eight persons were killed on April 9 in force’s actions.
Re-poll was ordered by ECI after the civilian killings.
