Brute force against civilians is a grave concern, say resistance leaders

Srinagar: The joint resistance leaders including Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik on Wednesday expressed deep grief over the death of a woman in Tahab Pulwama.
In a statement they condemned state forces for their ‘brutality’ and while expressing their sorrow for loss of precious lives, said, “Unbridled powers vested in them and use of brute force against civilians is of great concern.”
Referring to indiscriminate use of force by men in uniform, resistance leaders said, “They enjoy impunity and license to kill anybody and till now no single forces personnel was brought to book or asked for the brutalities against peaceful civilians.”
