Srinagar: The United Jihad Council, the Muzaffarabad-based organisation of militant outfits, on Saturday said those making anti-Pakistan remarks and praising Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan show “whose agenda they are implementing”.
UJC’s strong words were address to a group of ‘unidentified gunmen’ who recently appeared at the grave of a militant in Kareemabad village of Pulwama district and asked people not to raise Pakistani flags at their funerals “as they have to wage Jihad there as well for Islam”.
UJC spokesman Syed Sadaqat Hussain, warning such gunmen of “dire consequences”, said the opposition to Pakistani nation and flag and support for TTP “reflects the intentions of group of gunmen masquerading as Mujahideen at Naseer’s grave”.
The UJC spokesman said, “Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan has been and is being used by enemies of Islam. Their hands are soaked in the blood of thousands of innocents. On the instance of India and other anti-Islam forces, they are trying to destroy the existence of Pakistan. So, it clearly unveils the reality behind support to this anti-Islam outfit (TTP).”
“The Jihadi leadership wants to make it clear to them that if they don’t stop their shameful acts and doesn’t refrain from creating confusion and differences on behest of enemy then their end will be terrible,” he added.
Reacting to the unidentified gunmen’s calls for Shariah, the UJC spokesman said “they have no authority to talk about the subject of Caliphate”. “Only the righteous Islamic clerics and jihadi leadership are authorised to give views about Islamic Caliphate and Islamic government,” he said.
