BJP wants to install everyone with anti-Muslim mindset in power: Azad

ANANTNAG: Former chief minister and leader of opposition in Rajya Sabha, Ghulam Nabi Azad on Saturday said that BJP wants to include all the people with anti-Muslim and anti-minority mindset in its government.
“Since BJP government headed by Modi sahab was formed an atmosphere of fear and uncertainty prevailed. And then when Amit Shah was also linked with it a fearful atmosphere prevailed everywhere. Several incidents happened in Rajasthan, Delhi, UP and at other places. Now when Adityanath Yogi was made chief minister we came to the conclusion that BJP government in a planned manner wants to include all the anti-Muslim and anti-minority minds in its government,” Azad told reporters at Khanabal after holding meeting with party leaders and workers.
He said that as the BJP remains in power, the “country is sitting on a mound of ammunition”.
Azad also accused the BJP government of tampering with the electronic voting machines everywhere.
“Soon after the BJP came into power election commission of India has been writing to it recommending some modifications in the machines. ECI so far has written twelve letters to ECI seeking funds for the purpose. Latest letter was addressed directly to the prime minister. The issue was also raised in the parliament. Besides at least six high courts have taken cognizance of the matter. But BJP government is hesitant to respond to the suggestions and recommendations of both the ECI and courts,” Azad said.
He said that modification of EVMs will cost 31000 crore rupees for which the ECI had already sent a proposal.
“This means that this government somewhere tampers with EVMs,” Azad said.
He said that Supreme Court had earlier also asked the center to put a slip in the EVMs which will leave no scope for tampering but this government has been ignoring all these suggestions and directions.
“A delegation of 15 political parties is going to meet chief election commission on Monday in this regard,” Azad said.
