Army patrol party faces stones in Shopian village

Srinagar: An army party fired few shots in air after it was stoned in a Shopian village on Saturday.
Sources said that as soon as a patrol party of RR reached Pinjura, in the outskirts of south Kashmir’s Shopian, scores of youth raised slogans and pelted stones at it.
Local sources told Kashmir Reader that as the youth started pelting stones on army personnel, they fired many shots in air and fled the scene.
Tension is growing very high in central and south Kashmir ahead of Lok Sabha by-polls scheduled on April 9 and 12 respectively.
