River Jehlum flows at alarming levels

Srinagar: The water levels in river Jhelum are flowing above alarm levels at both Sangam and Ram Munshibagh in Srinagar and south Kashmir, official sources said on Thursday.
Water level in the Jhelum was recorded 19.35ft at Sangam in south Kashmir while it was recorde 16.90 ft at Ram Munshibagh in Srinagar.
Worth to mention, that the flood alarm is declared when the water level reaches 18 ft in Sangam, 16 ft in Ram Munshi Bagh and 13 ft in Achan.
The flood is actually declared when the water levels reach 21 ft in Sangam, 18 in Ram Munshi Bagh and 14 in Achan.
