Hizb commander arrested from hospital

Srinagar: A top Hizbul Mujahideen commander, Amir Wagay, was arrested in a Srinagar hospital, sources said here on Friday.
Wagay, a resident of Brijbehara area of South Kashmir, was reportedly undergoing a treatment at the hospital when police arrested him.
According to a senior official, the police acted on a specific input and planned the arrest as they had been following the militant’s movement in the area.
Wagay, who was spearheading the militant outfit’s cadre in Anantnag, was believed to be active in Kulgam and Shopian areas as well.
