Protests, clashes in Pulwama village, three injured

Srinagar: Clashes erupted in Belaw village of Pulwama district between government forces and protesters on Monday resulting in injuries to three civilians.
Clashes erupted in Belaw the native village of Shahbaz Shafi Wani alias Rayees Kachroo who was also killed in yesterday’s shootout at Padgampora.
Soon after the funeral prayers of Rayees were over, protesters started raising pro-freedom slogans.
They according to local sources pelted stones on forces deployed around the village who retaliated with tear smoke shells resulting in injuries to three protesters.
Two Hizb ul Mujahideen militants, Rayees Ahmad and Farooq Ahmed Hurrah were killed in a brief shootout with government forces near Padgampora, Awantipora.
