Four houses gutted in an Uri village

Baramulla: Four houses were gutted in a fire incident in a border village in Uri area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Monday night. A senior police officer said that fire broke out in Marya-Kamalkote in Uri close to the line of control on Monday night resulting to burning of four residential houses. There was no loss of life. The local residents said that the fire completely destroyed the houses because there is no fire service station in the area. The nearest fire service station is at Uri town, 20 kilometers from the villages closer to the LoC.
