Srinagar: A court ordered on Monday that four juveniles arrested on charges of stone throwing should be sent to Juvenile Home at Harwan for seven days.
Two other young boys were sent in police remand for three days. Whether the two boys were minors or not could not be ascertained. Also, from their physical appearance they did not appear to be juveniles.
All boys were in lock up at Nowhatta police station after being held on charges of stone throwing after Friday prayers. They were presented before the court on Monday.
As per Juvenile Justice Act, a juvenile cannot be remanded in police custody but has to be sent to a reformative home till they are admitted to bail.
