KEG decides to boycott Police

Srinagar: In the backdrop of recent police assault on photojournalists, at Hyderpora, Kashmir Editors Guild (KEG), Saturday decided not to publish any J&K police press notes or advertisements as a mark of protest against the police action.
During a marathon meeting the Guild demanded strict action against the erring police officer and apology from the police authorities.
According to Guild decision until that no police press notes or advertisements will be published.
Pertinently, several photojournalists were assaulted and manhandled by police at Hyderpora when they were performing their professional duties.
