Police nabs two drug peddlers in Pampore

Pampore: Police claimed to have arrested two notorious drug peddlers during a naka checking near Zinpora bridge in Pampore of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
They have been identified as Firdous Ahmad Mir son of Ghulam Hassan Mir and Arif Shafi Gadihanji son of Mohammad Shafi, both residents of kadlabal Pampore, local station house officer Manzoor Ahmad Beigh said.
He said 16 bottles of psychotropic substance(codorex) were recovered from their possession when they were  travelling in a load carrier bearing number JK01L 8645. “A Case FIR NO 35/ 17 u/s 8/21 NDPS was registered and investigation taken up.” police also arrested two drunkards at Leterbal Kadlabal in Pampore on Sunday.
The alleged drunkards have been identified as Nisar Ahmad Sheikh and Shabir Ahmad Wani both residents of Newa Pulwama. Beigh said that a Case FIR No 34/2017 U/S 510/RPC has been registered against the tipplers.
