Women have unique health issues: Pallavi Gillani

Srinagar: In its endeavor to provide health services to women on the occasion of the International Women’s day, Police Wives Welfare Association (PWWA) organised two free medical camps for women at government women’s college, Srinagar and Housing Colony Qamarwari Bemina.
Besides, medical camps experts and well known gynecologists   delivered useful talks and lectures on women empowerment through self employment schemes and on women related health issues. Medical camp at Women’s college was organized in collaboration with Modern Hospital, Florence Hospital Srinagar and the camp at Qamarwari Bemina was organized in collaboration with police Hospital Srinagar, Sheri-Kashmir institute of Medical Science Soura and Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya Aarogya Jeevan Sansthan, Rajasthan and Action Aid.
Speaking at Women’s Collage, PWWA member, Dr Pallavi Gillani who is wife of IGP Javed Gillani highlighted  the health issues unique to women and emphasizes organizing these camps to educate the women on these issues.
