Srinagar: Hailing the increasing support in favour of oppressed Kashmiris in different universities of India, Awami Ittihad Party (AIP) supremo and Langate legislator Engineer Rasheed has termed the intensions of central government to bring azadi slogans under sedition law, an act of frustration of the Indian state.
In a statement, Rasheed said that ultra- nationalists, biased media and other arrogant forces in India have started feeling the heat from the events taking place in JNU, Ramjas College, and streets of New Delhi and elsewhere. The way new generation of Indians is openly supporting plebiscite in Kashmir, it is evident that people have begun understanding the things better. The Kashmiris respect and appreciate the support being offered to their resistance movement by students, scholars and intellectuals in different parts of India.” Rasheed added that the reports about strengthening sedition law are ample proof to say that BJP government at the centre is getting much scared of azadi slogans at the streets of New Delhi. He added that New Delhi cannot avoid Kashmir resolution always and will have to hear at least the saner voices within India.
