SRINAGAR: The candidates writing their examination for admission to integrated PhD programme in education at Kashmir University on Tuesday were surprised to find answers to every question marked in faded ink.
Each correct answer for the 100 multiple choice questions was faded, the candidates said.
As many as 6000 students sat for the examination, which was taken by Kashmir university students only. Students from other universities were not eligible.
“At first I thought this is a printing error. But I noticed the same pattern on the second page (of question paper). The exam must be cancelled because genuine students will be at a loss,” said Aatif, a candidate.
Controller examinations Prof. Aslam Bhat said, “I am aware of the issue.” But dean education Dr Mehmood Ahmad Khan said he was yet to find out the details.
Vice-chancellor Kashmir University Prof Khurshid Andrabi said he will order appropriate action into the matter
