SRINAGAR: Chairman Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) Shabir Ahmad Shah on Monday paid tributes to more than 50 people killed in Zakura and Batamaloo tragedies on their 27th anniversary saying “we’ll never forget our martyrs”.
In a statement issued here, Shah said, “We remember all our martyrs, of Gawkadal, Sopore, Bijbehara, Handwara, Kupwara, Kanikadal, Mash’ali Mohalla, Wandhama, and those of other massacres. We must not disrespect the sacrifices of our martyrs by supporting the killers of our people.”
Shah said “we must not fall prey to deceitful designs of pro-India politicians who only show false dreams to people just to secure their own vested interests”.
“The nations don’t choose killers as their representatives. We have to boycott the pro-India elements who are responsible for our unending sufferings,” he said.
Shah said there was a Jalianwala Bagh massacre in India but Kashmiris have witnessed hundreds of Jalianwala Bagh massacres.
