srinagar: Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Monday sought that Jammu and Kashmir Bank should extend the its move to restructuring of loan payments, including funding the interest, for its customers in the state up to march end.
In statement issued here president KCCI Mushtaq Ahmad Wani said that restructuring of loans recently announced by the JK Bank has gone a long way to provide an opportunity for rehabilitating the business activity of many a crumbling business entities.
While appreciating the JK Bank for taking such initiative he added that no other bank operating in the valley has come up with a similar rehabilitation package for their borrowers.
He added continuance of the package for sometime more would help many more borrowers craving for rehabilitation to come forward and avail the package which could result in positive effect on the health of both the lending institution and the borrower.
He urged the bank authorities to extend continuance of the package at least up to the end of March, 2017 so that maximum number of borrowers deserving restructuring could get benefited.
