‘Hindutva’ being enforced in Valley: Dukhtaran

SRINAGAR: Reacting to the MHA report wherein it has directed the intelligence agencies to control mosques, madrassas and media in Kashmir, the Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM) chief Syeda Aasiya Andrabi on Monday said the report has caused serious apprehensions among the people of Kashmir who believe that “Hindutva” is being enforced in the Valley.
In a statement issued here, Aasiya said, “We want to make it clear that Indian authorities and their intelligence agencies including NSA want us to follow the Islam with which they are comfortable. As far Islamic teachings are concerned, no power on earth can dictate us.”
“We are Muslims Alhamdulillah and Tawheed is our Aqeedah and there is no other Aqeedah,” Andrabi said, adding, “It doesn’t make any difference whether they call it Wahaabiyat or Bareliviyat. Our Aqeedah is that of One Allah, One Rasool-ul-llah (SAW) and one Qura’an. No one can distract us from the fundamentals of our Deen. No one can dare to even change the ‘Zabar’ and ‘Zeer’ of our religion, Islam.”
Andrabi said Muslims of Jammu Kashmir in particular and those of the subcontinent in general should fight the decision tooth and nail.  She said Muslims of Kashmir will safeguard the madrassas and masajids come what may. “We’ll sacrifice our lives for it,” she said.
