Srinagar: Jama’at-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir Thursday vehemently denounces the “brutal killing” of an innocent woman by “an unruly gang” of Indian army personnel who in a nocturnal patrolling fired indiscriminately in Moolu Chitragam, Shopian to “terrorize” the innocent people.
Jama’at also condemned the ransacking of a number of residential houses, smashing the windowpanes of a number of vehicles besides the doors and windows just like the “dacoits used to do in the old times”.
“The armed forces have been given free hand to deal with the local people so as to crush them for raising their genuine voice against the brutal human rights violations by these lawless forces personnel,” Jama’at said in a statement.
Jama’at appealed international bodies particularly United Nations Organization to take notice of the unabated “state sponsored terrorism faced by the innocent Kashmiris” and use their good offices to get the long pending Kashmir dispute resolved as per the UN resolutions.
Jama’at also expressed solidarity with the bereaved family of the martyred innocent lady.
