Hizb claims responsibility of Shopian attack

Srinagar: Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militant outfit Thursday claimed responsibility for the attack carried out in Shopian District in South Kashmir on army.
In a telephonic statement to local news gathering agency, KNS, Hizb operational spokesperson, Burhan-ud-Din, said, “Five army men were killed and seven injured in the attack”.
Hailing the Hizb squad that carried out the attack he quoted Deputy Chief Peer Saifullah Khalid and Mehmood Ghaznawi as having “congratulated the squad for carrying out a successful attack on army petrol party” that resulted the killing of three army men and a woman according to police. KNS
